This unit has been bench tested by an FAA certified repair station and it comes with an 8130 single release dated 6/3/2026.

• Cell and Strike Modes: Offers pilot-selectable operating modes. Cell mode maps clusters of lightning to highlight the core areas of greatest storm intensity, while Strike mode tracks individual electrical discharges to detect the early formation of a cell.
• Configurable Airspace Views: Features a forward-facing 120-degree view that provides double the tracking resolution for threats ahead of the flight path, as well as a surrounding 360-degree view of electrical activity in all quadrants.
• Selectable Operational Ranges: Monitors and maps lightning data across selectable increments of 25, 50, 100, and 200 nautical miles. It continuously acquires and updates environmental data across all ranges simultaneously. 
• Heading Stabilization Integration: Features automatic heading stabilization capabilities when slaved to a compatible onboard bootstrap heading system or HSI, allowing the storm map to rotate naturally as the aircraft changes heading. 
• Discharge Rate Monitor: Includes an integrated discharge rate indicator alongside a manual screen clearing function to help flight crews judge real-time storm movement, severity, and accumulation trends.
