This unit has been bench tested by an FAA certified repair station and it comes with an 8130 single release dated 4/20/2026.

This little sensor is the literal “compass” that tells your HSI system which direction the nose of the plane is pointing. Because standard panel gyros drift over time, your system relies on this remote flux gate to automatically pull magnetic north data from outside the airframe and lock your heading card down. This little guy is usually tucked into the wingtip or tail cone to avoid electrical interference from other instruments in the cockpit.
