This specific variant works on both 14V and 28V electrical systems and features crisp white backlighting that is easy to read during night flights. The KI-250 allows the pilot to set a Decision Height, in altitude AGL. Once you reach this altitude, a light illuminates and a tone sounds. (This is a very good safety aid and backup on an IMC approach.) There is also a self-test function.
