Instead of using a multi-piece configuration with separate internal boxes and heavy external waveguide piping, this unit consolidates the transmitter, receiver, and a 12-inch flat plate antenna array into one unified mechanical package that mounts directly in the nose of the aircraft.

- Advanced Pulse Attenuation Compensation (PAC): Built with dynamic internal algorithms designed to continuously calculate and adjust for radar signal attenuation. This capability helps prevent closer downpours from completely blocking out or shadowing the visibility of intense, dangerous weather cells lurking further along the flight path.
- Integrated Gimbal Scan Authorization: Utilizes a rugged, motorized pitch-and-roll stabilization gimbal array engineered to receive continuous attitude commands from the aircraft’s primary flight computer. This ensures the antenna array stays locked onto the designated scanning horizon regardless of airframe banking or altitude pitch changes during turbulence penetration.
